Anyone used OneProtect car insurance?
oneprotectinsurance.co.uk
This company came cheapest via comparison sites. However, I have never heard them before. There are some reviews in TrustPilot which is mix of good & bad so can't really make any decision from there.
Legally they are owned by OneCall Insurance which is showing as registered in FCA. I am not questioning their legality but asking if anyone have any first had experience dealing with them.

Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.

Not "One Protect", but I have used One Call and currently One Click. Their website homepages all look the same. I used/use them to insure my "Classic" car and have never had any problems. However, they are cheap, for my current and past policies, which could mean they are cheap for a reason. No doubt they are only as good as if a claim is made and how it is handled.Fortunately I have not had to make a claim - yet!1

I've not had any dealings with them myself but I believe most of your dealing with them are done via "chat" on their website.
My insurance company Swiftcover use the same method and it's all down to how many and how good the online agents are, though Swiftcover tends to let you do a lot of the admin stuff yourself within their portal.
What does appear to be a kick in the pants is OneProtects admin charges.
Yes, most insurance companies charge healthily for policy changes these days but they are fairly expensive seeing though they use this online portal/agent chat features.
If you aren't planning of lots of policy changes and the quote is cheap enough, why not go with them?

You can search on here for opinions on OneCall, they're a broker rather than an insurer.
Make sure you have answered every question 100% accurately, they are one of a few that post inception will run a number of checks and will charge you if they find out you bought the car a few weeks difference from what you told them etc.0 -
"What does appear to be a kick in the pants is OneProtects admin charges."Agreed, for One Call and One Click, even cancelling within the first 14 days attracts a £49.99 "admin" fee, as a new customer. A bit less for renewals.0

I'll probably pass them, bit too much of unknowns. The next nearest quote is from well known mainstream insurer for around £100 more.Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0

Used One Call in 22 & 23 no claims, no issues, the cashback was also paid.

Just cancelled my home insurance which I took out 24 hours ago through the broker One Protect. The policy came in from AXA which I trust. However, there was an error on the fact sheet. My roof is slate not tiled. Went on line to 'chat' with them. (15 minute standby wait). They wanted to charge me £15 to amend it, thought that was unreasonable (also made two other insurance quotes I had received cheaper) as they had advised me to check policy over and correct wrong information. I had paid £172 as quoted by One Protect but the schedule from AXA stated the amount payable was £219.92. All of this made my sixth sense rattle about this broker. Cut to the chase cancelled the insurance (14 day cooling period and within 24 hours) they refunded me 122 keeping 50 as an admin charge. Properly mugged off.0
