Tree gunk on windscreen
So we get a lot of trees in town full of aphids that deposit sticky resin on the cars.
I've tried vinegar, window cleaners, soap and recommended car body cleaner and a lot of it still there.
The spray on windscreen cleaner works a bit better but expensive.
Anyone found something that will do the job properly and reasonably quickly please?

Stick the car through a car wash, and try to park else where. As for the trees if they are in town, complain to the local council and see if they will cut them back a bit.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Try wire wool (on glass only).1

Thank you.
The town and streets are lined with trees. Or you pay to park when you're only going to be 20mins.
Not sure about the wire wool🤔I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Definitely NOT wire wool. I've seen a few comments on Reddit regarding hand sanitiser.

On glass - NOT on paint - try screenwash liquid and a plastic washing-up sponge scourer. Works a treat on squashed flies as well.Try it on paint and you'll remove the paint.....1

Some sponge scourers scratch glass, unless they're marked as non-scratch. I found out the hard way when I tried cleaning some old double glazing.1

Must be the time of year! I just went to a drive-through car wash but still have tree sap all over the hood. I'll try to enclose a photo.
I hand-scubbed it with a soft cloth and hand sanitiser but it didn't budge. Has anyone successfully had it removed by a professional cleaner?Mortgage in July 2023: £84206

Lol Born again, this is me 😁
But you did give me an idea. I know one that used to do that and now works in a garage not far away. I'll text him r drop in.
I used to be able to get it off but they must be feeding the bugs something extra these days.
I do use old pan sponge /scourers for lots of things but I think that will just smear the sticky stuff.
I'll post back if I find something Matilde.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
