One person took clothes out, put them into duty free bag and the other bag she had and wore an extra coat. Another emptied a few items into her friends bags so there was enough room to squeeze the bag into the sizer.0 -

Easyjet in Birmingham had a cage, in Berlin an open three-sider with a taped line in the front ...I think you may be thinking of RyanAir with that style of cabin baggage checker.Debt Free Wannabe by 1 December 2027

I always check hand luggage maximum dimensions and weight regardless of how many times I've flown with the same airline.
Why would anyone assume that things will stay the same?
As for 'victims', I agree with Westin.
What an over-reaction!3 -
The trouble is with these threads is that anyone can say what they like, no matter whether it’s true or not. So we get EasyJets shrinking baggage allowance; Etihad are scam artists; xxxx stole my money and many other reactionary threads. Whilst I can understand that people can get cross they really need to be more careful about how they phrase it. It’s grossly unfair to a company to be accused of being a scam artist etc when actually 99 times out of 100 it’s down to the person not reading/interpreting the rules correctly.

Such histrionics over what is actually user error.2 -
I read that staff get commission when they can get customers to pay fees so it's not a surprise. Just avoid them if you don't like their service and pay a little more instead of cheapest.0

Due to being about 1cm over the sizer at one corner (caused by being made to unpack & repack clothes at security screening) I was made to to pay circa £50 or not be allowed to board risking my connecting non-Easyjet flight.
Other times they've been fantastic such as giving me a free exit row seat and on my last trip gave me a whole row to myself when I asked for an aisle seat.0 -
