I was just wondering how long it could take for the questionnaire to arrive in my inbox, it's been 6 days and nothing so far. Wanted to make sure I didn't do anything wrong0
-
But the DQ doesn't arrive in any inbox.
Read a few threads to see the weeks it takes.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi,
I wanted to provide a quick update on the progress of the case:
-
On 30th May 2025, I received a letter from HM Courts & Tribunals Service confirming receipt of my defence, sent to my address.
-
On 27th June 2025, my dad received a letter from DCB Legal (despite me previously informing them that this is the incorrect address). The letter stated their intention to proceed with the claim and included a copy of their completed questionnaire.
-
The case stay was lifted 39 days after I filed my defence (see claim status below).
I understand that I should now wait to receive the Directions Questionnaire from the CNBC. I haven’t received it yet — do you know if it will be sent by email or post, and whether it will go to my address or my dad’s?
If there’s anything else I need to be aware of or take action on in the meantime, I’d really appreciate your guidance.
Many thanks!

It will arrive by post and should be to the same recipient as the claim form and registered keeper. Why is your Dad involved? If you have told the DPO of MET and DCB Legal of your correct address for service and they are refusing to use it, report them to the ICO1
-
It was sent to my dad’s address (my previous address) and in his name (he was the registered keeper at the time), even though I was the one driving when this occurred back in 2021

It should be the registered keeper who appeals/defends unless they have transferred liability to you prior to receiving the N1SDT claim form.1

But you are the named defendant on the claim form? Or is Dad?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

My dad is the named defendant.
I received the DQ from the court and filled it out for my dad. On the 12 steps it says to email it to the CNBC and cc the legal company acting for the claimant, however, on the DQ form it states 'please return it to the court at the address shown on the form N149A Notice of Proposed allocation to Small Claims Track.'
To be on the safe side shall I mail it to them and email? According to the form there's no option to email and it just states to return it to the Northampton address.
Thanks!0 -
Follow the 8 steps in the defence template thread
Download the N180 DQ document, a PDF, from the government website and fill it in, your dad signs it with an e signature ( digital signature ) then once completed email it to the DQ email address in the defence template thread, same as everyone else does
Put the paperwork in a drawer, no need to fill it in or post it, just follow the 8 steps1
