Yahoo email sign in issues (use previous device). Worried.

hi. a little worried. some are pretty much throw away emails but still used regularly, several would be devastating to lose.

this started today.
only ever login from this PC and on my phone.
issues relate to yahoo.

i have multiple email accounts, many with yahoo that i have had for years, my main one is 25 years old at least!?

i use Thunderbird as a client. occasionally there are issues but nothing major.

today Thunderbird couldn't access one email. as usual i went to login manually as its usually a verification issue but after attempting to sign in i get "try logging in from a device you have used before".
nothing works for me to login, just end up back at that page.

so i have manually logged in to each account and i have found the same issue with quite a few accounts.

oddly and hopefully this means its a temporary glitch some of the emails i can't login to manually still have access via the Thunderbird client.

some that were working fine via Thunderbird earlier now won't login but will manually. 

it's all a bit hit/miss but some are definitely not accessible either way.

thoughts?

what app do you use on your phone to access mail?

i use the yahoo app for yahoo but only usually have my main one on there. i have had a play and some emails i can add to my list, some i can't. it seems i have access to all but 3 via Thunderbird, access to very few if i login direct via my pc. all hit/miss.

i'll be testing more deeply later but any advice appreciated.

p.s the email that kicked all this off isn't accessible no matter how i try.

Make sure Thunderbird is up to date. Consider removing and re-adding problematic accounts to refresh OAuth permissions.

Vitor, i have tried that now, thank you. however the 4 problematic ones that remain.....read on.

bizarre. some that weren't accessible with the above message are now working, others are not.

yesterday some were working through Thunderbird but i couldn't login via the actual yahoo website or on the app.

the 4 remaining emails with the above message are not accessible via Thunderbird, the app or the website. i hope tomorrow see's the final 4 work again.
