Time for the custard test 😉Herzlos said:This thread seems to bear an uncanny resemblance to another one about an M4 I think. All the way down to Kwitfit.
I can't believe anyone with a £32k Porsche would even dream of taking it to Kwik Fit to save a few quid.
No-one trying to save money would be spending £32k on a 996.2 -
I wondered the same but didn't think it was worth the hassle.
@Cuticuraser - can you prove that you actually bought this car and the whole thing isn't made up?1 -
Assuming it’s the one that was (is) on Autotrader then it apparently has a service history with a local specialist with the place suggested by @darrensurrey. A sensible person would have consulted them before committing to the purchase but, assuming this is genuine, you’d be foolish not to return to them.Cuticuraser said:I know this could be potentially counter productive but I’m trying to save money, so I’ve booked the car in to my local Kwikfit.
if they can’t help then I’ll look into getting it done at a Porsche specialist.I got the car for £32,000. It will be my daily driverAnd as for KwikFit that really is the height of stupidity0 -
Kwikfit can regas the aircon and sort the rusty exhaust clamps, though I personally wouldn't trust them to.

They'd find it in a 911, it's at the noisy end.Wonka_2 said:
Experience says they’d be looking for the engine under the (front) bonnet 🤣Goudy said:Kwikfit can regas the aircon and sort the rusty exhaust clamps, though I personally wouldn't trust them to.
It's the Boxster and Cayman that would confuse them.
The engine isn't under the bonnet or boot. They just wouldn't know what to hit with their hammer!0 -
The MOT should not be the decider for new tyres on any car, let alone on a high performance vehicle. The tyres look a bit ropey but will get these changed before the next MOT.Signature on holiday for two weeks1 -
I wouldn't worry about tyre ropeyness guys, there's 0% chance this car is real.2
