Hi all
Samsung have done an update and I loathe the garish new icons.
Is there an easy way I can reverse this without losing stuff (texts, emails etc)
I'm a neanderthal when it comes to anything more high tech than a biro.
TIA

I'd assume the OP is talking about One UI 7.0 which very recently got rolled out and updated the icons.
tealady I believe you can change the icons in the Galaxy store - Apps > Theme tab > scroll down to Icons. There's one on the front page called [BT] One UI Onyx Icons that looks very similar to 6.0 at the moment.
I certainly wouldn't recommend trying to go back to 6.0 for the sake of icons.
Before that, I'd at least take a week or two getting used to the new icons - it's very common for people to naturally reject changes like this.Know what you don't1 -
Here is a guide on how to change the Theme and the Icons on a Smasung Galaxy phone:You can change just the icons for a different set of icons, or change the whole look of your phone.
(Usually your biggest problem is deciding which of the multitude of choices you want to use).Note that some choices do have to be purchased.

Go to settings....Themes.....Icons....You can download hundreds of different styles of icon. At the top of the screen tap 'Top', then where it says 'All' tap that and select 'Free'. Browse the selection.
Or, as suggested, just give the new icons time to become familiar......EvolutionDrinking Rum before 10am makes you
