Under the previous Labour government, rounding was done so that the figure was divisible by 12, so this would be a continuation of that. £1,000 a month feels a lot better than £833.33, even though it’s not that much more.1

You've got to be a bit scared of a Chancellor who thinks that Cash ISAs and S&S ISAs serve the same purpose for most people.12

Stocks & shares ISAs (Individual Savings Accounts) shouldn't actually be called ISAs at all.3 -
I think they meant the "S" in ISA was misleading when discussing S&S' ISAs 😉ivormonee said:One is investment in stocks etc. with associated risk, and the other is keeping money in cash on deposit in return for an interest payment - two completely different things. The "ISA" just means that there is no tax to pay - it is not the type of product. Rach from a/cs just doesn't get it.How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0 -

There are money market ETFs (eg, CSH2) but *if* there are restrictions, I'd fully expect cash equivalent funds/ETFs to have the same restrictions.ivormonee said:By way of preparation, what would be the most cash-like ETFs that one could use in an S&S ISA in lieu of a reduction in the cash ISA allowance should it arise?1
