Android doesn't go out of date fast at all, it's updated every year like iOSgadget88 said:

Phone support is different as that varies by manufacturer, motorola are notorious for it, think it's only 2 years of updates though given it's got 1 update from 13 to 14, that won't be the issue and it is 64 bit.
