Air conditioning install

We've had a local installer quote to fit air conditioning in our home (in Sussex), wall mounted in two relatively small rooms with the intention of using his for cooling in the summer and heating in the winter.
External multi-split unit, which will supply both rooms, is a Mitsubishi SCM30ZS-W (3.0KW) and the two internal wall mounted units will be Mitsubishi SKM15ZSP-W (1.5kW)
Cost of install is £2995 (additional cost of electrician TBC, but he came today and said it would be straightforward taking the feed straight from the outdoor meter box).
Does this seem like a reasonable cost and is the proposed Mitsubishi kit a decent product?
I am getting a second quote tomorrow.

We paid £4k for x2 outside and inside units installed last year. Last few weeks when we've had the warm weather they have been 100% worth it.1

Sounds about right with roughly two thirds going on labour costs.
I paid £6921 for a 7.5kw three way multisplit a few years ago.

From what I have read, Mitsubishi kit for air-con seems to be one that is commonly recommended, Daikin seems more expensive and not sure if any real added value paying more."We act as though comfort and luxury are the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about” – Albert Einstein0

They have quoted Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, which is similar standard to Mitsubishi Electric (completely different company to MHI) and Daikin.
I tend to use MHI for basic office/industrial schemes as it's sturdy but less attractive than the ME and Daikin units. But that's very much a personal opinion.1 -
The electrician has just sent his quote which is £660 to buy and install the following:
- Metal clad consumer unit with main switch. 25.0mm Meter tails and 16.0mm main earth
- RCBO RCBO for consumer unit - 20A
- Radial Circuit Rotary Isolator for AC unit
There's easy access to the electric meter box on the outside wall on the side of our house, and this new consumer unit is being fitted about 12 inches to the side of this (also outside), so no long runs or anything special needed. Not sure if I was being unrealistic but I thought the electrical work was going to cost less than this. He's been really slow in responding so not sure if this is his way of saying I'm busy but will do it if you're prepared to pay over the odds.

The second company said that they would not need any "special" electrical work and would use the kitchen ring main and take the wiring from the back of a plug socket. The first company seemed to suggest this was not ideal and therefore have an additional electrician cost for an outdoor consumer unit/RCBO/isolator.
I am no electrician and have little understanding of the requirements. The second quote is for an Mitsubishi Electric MXZ-2F33VF3 condensing unit that from what I can find requires a fuse rating of 16A

Is the ring main not 13A...or am I missing something? The second company has good reviews and comes recommended and is local, I'm just a bit concerned about the electrical bit after what the first company told me."We act as though comfort and luxury are the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about” – Albert Einstein0 -

However I wouldn't have thought it the best idea to use the kitchen ring as that tends to be the most loaded of all the rings, eg kettle, toaster, dishwasher, washing machine microwave etc. A different ring might be better, eh upstairs rings tend to be lightly loaded.
Aircon units don't draw serious current for long though once they are up and running it's only a couple of amps usually, so it might be ok, you just risk nuisance tripping of the mcbs in the consumer unit if the Aircon is running and you are using a lot of power in the kitchen.1
