Hello
With an energy contract, you can switch to a new supplier, within the last 7 weeks without facing an exit fee.
Does the same or similar happen to Broadband Contracts ?
Thank You

Most companies allow you to leave without penalty if you initiate a switch within the normal notice period of 30/31 days.
Check your Ts and Cs.
Edit : That should have said in the last 30/31 days before the contract end date.1 -

I would start the ball rolling, at least 1 month before you want to switch over, and set a switch over date when your minimum term contract is up. Look out for instant emails from your old provider, telling you cancellation charges
It will probably take 1-2 months or more it then are forced to install fibre to the house0
