I cancelled my Sky subscription, when I took it up I was assured it was only for six months, then when I went to cancel it I was told I could cancel but would still have to pay for a year! I was a bit miffed, I didn't realise you had to give them a month's notice, or I would have rung before Xmas.
  • Newbie here.

Only a small thing today but I did a mystery shop this morning for £10 :D

Will count saved up change from last year and bank that tomorrow.

Also banking £10 cheque tomorrow from a magazine for submitting a picture of DD

Will complete some surveys on onepoll.com for £ (not much but it adds up)

Will need to investigate piggy clicks again

Am cancelling credit expert and payment protection monthly payments.

Investigating 2 entries on CC bill I don't recognise!

:o added up debt today - worse than thought but not ready to talk about it yet

Little pickle - Congratulations.:j And keep up the good work.

I've done the same - day 3 today - must say I'm totally woozy but can smell my hand cream for the first time in 25 years:o

    As for the small stuff:

Walk instead of using the car
    Sell some eggs
Use clothes rail instead of the tumble dryer.

Good luck to you too cumbrianmum:D
Just think what you could do with the money you usually spend on cigs.

  • Done my piggy clicks
    Will do onepoll
Bought 3 christmas presents and 6 rolls of gold wrap much reduced. Not money saving today but for later in the year.
Eating a great big jar of reduced nuts and raisins so don't want any tea now.
Worked new years eve and new years day for OT.
Well done you 2 stopping smoking. I honestly think I would have plenty of money if I had the will power. Freezing outside on my break today as well.

    Daily clicks,
    Packaging and posting on Ebay,
    Advertised a 'want' on freecycle,
Used the Diet Coke voucher to get some fizzy stuff for free.
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!
  • Today I have/will:

    - took lunch to work
    - only bought essentials in Asda (milk & eggs)
    - charged mobile at work ;)
    - checked ebay sales - bids up to almost £19 so far with 2 days to go :j
    - ate reduced price pizza for tea I got in Asda yesterday for 20p
    - going to do piggy and quidco clicks in a bit
    - off to check online banks too (not looking forward to that!)
    - going to do some more slice the pie (challeging myself to make £1 per day on it)

Think that's it for today :D
