You may be right to characterise the neighbour as selfish, and the OP as kind and generous. maybe to OP should buy his neighbour a £5 hand saw (to be neighbourly) and say I bought you a present so you don't have to bother asking for a saw.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
