BW legal letter of claim

Hi,

please I just received a letter of claim and have till the 1st June to respond.  This is for parking fine from 2022. I do not even remember seeing the pcn and I moved out of the property in October.

Going through the forum, I am very confused whether to reply using the forms or on their website?

thanks in advance for ur help.

Have you checked the newbees thread?
Have you complained to the land owner?
Have you checked that your V5 document is up-to-date?

It's not confusing. There's only one response for an LBC in the second post of the NEWBIES thread (but please don't copy & paste it here, thanks!).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks - I'm confused because it says to email the solicitor directly but since it's not part of the 3 options given for me to respond with 30days, will they not go ahead and proceed to court?

    Do it anyway

Yes of course they are likely to issue a court claim using MCOL

They are following a set procedure,  so should you

@Coupon-mad  I just realised, since there was no registration number on the letter - this was for my old car which I gave back to the dealership a month after the pcn were issued. Does this make any difference? Should I refer to it in the email?

    No it's irrelevant.

"since it's not part of the 3 options given for me to respond with 30days"
What do you mean? Email isn't an option? So use the portal. Anything will do.

Apologises for being  a little slow, I was scared of jumping the gun and messing it up.  No email in the letter but I ca use their online portal and ignore completing their forms.

    Thank you.

I'm in the same boat with BW Legal (Also on behalf of Premier Park). There was no email address for them anywhere on the LOC nor on their website.
I scanned through here and found one from a couple of years ago which was disputeresolution@bwlegal.co.uk so I have emailed them with the letter from the newbies thread.
I'm not sure whether to go through the portal and do it that way as well as I'm not sure that is a valid email address anymore.

Any thoughts from people with more experience? Do I just leave it at that or do I use the portal as well?
    Thanks in advance

I don't know why people don't use the portal!
