Odd threads

https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6605484/esure-home-insurance#latest

The above thread was originally posted on the 6th May as it says when you click into the thread. If you look at the Insurance Forum where it is posted it now states it was posted on the 8th May and for me it is perpetually showing as unread.

Since yesterday a few posts have appeared with similar behaviour - a mismatch on posting date and persistently marked as unread.

We have a bit of a test going on (on some boards only) which means posts that haven't received any replies get a bit of extra visibility before they disappear into obscurity.

User feedback - tweaking their posted date to keep them higher up in the list is fine... making them perpetually unread when you have read them is irritating.
Marking the forum read seems to clear the unread flag from these bumped posts. Though that's not always something you want to do.

I don't know if this is related, but on the Pensions forum I've read the latest post by sheramber in the "Home Responsibilities Protection" thread four or five times now, on different days even, and it's still showing as unread!
