It’s not the LA fault that you either failed to see the one way signs when you entered the street or you forgot you were in a one way street on your return to the car. Sorry are are bang to rights on this one unless there is some technicality you can get off with, but the experts on this are over on the FTLA forum, but please check out the ream me first post before you do so.

My argument (and the truth of the matter) is that from when I began my return journey, inside the road, there were no signs facing me that indicated I was on a one way street.

I did not turn into a one way straight past no entry signs for example.

Clutching at straws here you have even shown the evidence in photo one of the entrance to the road clearly showing blue one way signs on each side of the road.
The fact is further emphasised by the arrows on the road pointing in the direction of travel one way not two, on the speed bump.
The other cars in the road are all facing the same way, that repeater sign you mention facing into the street is actually for anyone coming out of the entrance on the right where the dropped kerb is.
The fact is you passed the signs going in the road, did not see the signage for some reason, parked, then turned around and came back out the same way.
But by all means try FTLA
You might get away with this but there is nothing more than a penalty involved it might be best to suck it up:
4.9.3. Repeater signs to diagram 652 should be erected so that signs are generally placed
alternately on each side of the road. The distance between consecutive signs on alternate
sides of the road should not normally exceed 100 m.

The only way you will get away with this is to provide evidence that at the point of entry the no entry sign was not there or not visible (covered by trees or not clearly facing you as you drive in.

If you entered from a side road, you will have to provide evidence that there were no blue arrows pointing in the direction of the one way flow.

Dash cams have been the saviour of drivers in circumstances were the signage is defective.

FTLA will give you all the advice you need if there is a possibility of sucessfull challenge.

The reality (and the truth of the matter) is that is not how laws work. If I drive past a speed sign, park, then walk back to my car at a later date I am not allowed to speed until I see another speed sign. A key to the rule of law is that ignorance is not an excuse. You drove into a one way street, then chose to ignore that and drive the wrong way down it for your own convenience, that is not a legally valid excuse.

The OP drove in the correct way parked, then did a three point turn and went back the wrong way, none of the above applies.

What if it's not you that parked the car? Maybe you were asleep in the passenger seat when the car was driven into the road.

Speed signs are probably not a great comparison given there is a requirement for there to be repeater signs whereas no such requirement exists for one way streets.

Personally, there are scenarios where you could have some sympathy but certainly before the OP got to the end of the road the fact the 20mph is in the middle of the road facing the opposite direction and no equivalent facing their direction is a clear indication of it being a one way street. Without a StreetView photo further up the road its not possible to say how much earlier they should have realised but certainly before the SLOW written at the top of the offence photo and therefore probably out of the range of the cameras.

None of which applies here given the two lines of the opening post.

Irrelevant if the legally required signs are there. Whether you saw them or not is of no consequence.
