Saffron Building Society Application Procedure - How long?

On the 3rd of May I applied for a fixed rate ISA with Saffron Building Society. I was not an existing member and had to go through setting up password and memorable question. After doing this the application process appeared to have been completed and I was informed that a user id would be sent to me by post within 5 days and I was also given an application reference. I did not get any email acknowledgement and have yet to see anything from them in the post.
For those who are members, is this typical of Saffron B.S?
