EE Samsung faulty handset

I have been a customer of EE for approximately 28 years.  About 5/6 weeks ago I upgraded to a new Samsung phone.  The handset is very unpredictable - the signal strength is ok but occasionally (very occasionally) I cannot make or receive calls.

I took the phone to an EE store yesterday to fix the problem.  I was in the store for 90 minutes whist they tried to fix the problem (4 bars on the phone but I could not phone from the store).

After the 90 minutes, they told me that they could not fix the phone and insisted that I take the phone back.  I refused as the phone was next to useless to me.  I now have no phone (working or otherwise).

Has anyone any suggestions as to how I deal with this?  Thank you in advance.

So what are they doing with the phone sending it off for repair?

Maybe best to ring EE  explain the situation & see what they say to start with.

Go back and get the phone - you might not get very far without it.  Your contract should specify what guarantee the phone has (probably 12 months).  Might be better to go through the call centre.  If they offer to repair, you can say that you have already tried that in store.  Did you get the name of the person in store?  You might still have to send it back to them for inspection and a chnace to repair.  Or if they're going to send you a new phone, they'll want the old one back in case you are trtying to diddle them out of another phone for free.

But leaving the phone at the store was not the best thing to do
