    Just returned from the court. SIP didn’t send anyone.

    It was over in less than 5 minutes, the judge explained that he was throwing out the claim as it wasn’t clear on the ownership of the land and whether they had the right to administer a claim (SIP car parks had a contract with SIP Parking to manage the car parking), and that meant we didn’t even get onto any of the evidence.

    The judge awarded me £95 costs for a half day off work + travel costs.
    Well done!

    That is interesting. I cannot see that you included any reference in your draft defence or WS to the two different entities of SIP Car Parks and SIP Parking and whether either had a contract with the landowner. How did the judge pick up on that.
    It’s not something I had picked up on myself (or known to look for it).

    Maybe the judge has dealt with several SIP cases before and knows what to look for.
