May fix not very generous for me ; ~ £75 more pa than current Oct.fix .
EDF Simply fix (no exit fees) over £90 better than this Octopus offer.
I'm tempted but I didn't have the best experience with EDF last time !!
I didn't like EDF and won't use them again as I now know they are French owned......

is the ability to switch a single fuel to a new tariff still not available online?
Not to my knowledge, but it wasn't much slower doing it by phone...

I might try this. The gas offer is cheaper than I’m currently on so I may as well switch my gas to the new fix and leave the electricity on the old fix. It’s peanuts at the moment because the heating is off for the next 5 months, but I guess it’s worth doing just in case gas prices go up next winter.
i was thinking the same. stay on current loyalty fix for electric but switch to this latest fix for gas.
could you report back as to how it goes for you? thanks.

ps for all. i'm assuming this is allowed when on a fix? you can swap an individual energy?

You can be on two different fixes for each fuel. Just call them up and ask to switch one only.

    All done.
Switched my gas and kept the electric on the same rate. Each fuel now has a different end date for the fix. No exit fees.
Wish I’d done this last month on the leccy when it was cheaper!

If you are on a fix with Octopus they remove the online option for changing tariff and that includes Agile (even if you find the link to do it, at the final confirmation they will stop it and you have to phone). Not a great hassle but last time they changed me from variable to fixed DD without telling me and I had to make a second call to change it back, so check that as well.

You can also email or message on Twitter for them to change the tariff - I use Twitter and they do it quickly

p.s as part of sign up to twitter i had no choice but to choose something to "follow" and a subject of "interest". went movie themed on both. the whole twitter homepage is just a big confusing mess to me - i am getting old :(

Not in my experience - unless they have introduced the extra step recently.

pretty sure this refers to trying to switch a single fuel, not both. both can be switched online.
