I suppose they prefer the Energy Ombudsman to do the work for them.

Bit of a disaster on the ombdusman site, they have changed the submittal process, seems designed to make it harder to make a detailed complaint, at the start it asks for a brief summary, it then asks for summary of emails (not details), and then there is supposed to be a confirm step, well after I filled in little bits of brief info, and uploaded evidence, there was no confirmation, and my complaint is basically not much more than a small paragraph.  No ability to edit.
Not once does it ask for full details, details etc. its designed for quick one line statements.
They accept txt file uploads, so typing one out now as a txt document.  Uploaded and added a note requesting it is read.

Octopus backed down completely and compensated on top, I cant understand why they went down the path they did, but this particular issue is dealt with now at least for me personally.

Good news - well worth persevering
