The relevance is you are chasing Amazon for a refund when it may be a 3rd party seller you need to pursue but shall leave you to it.

I just wanted to give a HUGE thanks to Jumblebumble for the advice to try Amazon Bereavement Support.

I sent them an email end of April. I got a response straight away asking for prove of identity etc. A really helpful girl called Marijana picked up my case and got intouch. She needed lots of documents (death certificate, account details etc). She came back to me to confirm that they owed my mum £538 in refunds. She did try to offer us the money in Amazon gift cards which we refused.

It then took around 3 weeks for the money to eventually appear in my mum's account 🎉, with Marijana calling me each week to update me on the progress.

I spoke to several people at Amazon over two years with regards to these refunds. They all either fobbed me off, told me to reply to non functioning emails, sent me paper work to complete then rejected it etc etc. Awful customer service. Marijana was the total opposite of that. Really helpful and kind.

So, thank you once again for the advice Jumblebumble. It's been a long road, but my mum has finally got her money refunded 👍️
