Today's plan
✔️Open windows
✔️Strip bed, bedding to WM
✔️Remake bed with fresh linen (oooh, get me... 'linen')
✔️WM x3
✔️Exercises pt1
✔️Exercises pt2
✔️DW
✔️S&S kitchen & bathroom
❌️FUPA
✔️PUPA
❌️HHI
✔️Laptop /financy /admin session
✔️Deal with a 🐸-box
FUPA & HHI went by the wayside due to OH putting up shelves in an alcove and me filling shelves with stuff previously languishing on chairs & round back of sofa etc.
Won't be flying tomorrow, we're out for a mooch around shops & meeting friends for lunch.

Sorry, MIA again, and not even using the excuse of flying.
Valli, more of what everyone else has already said xIt’s been a busy week so far, as everything that we delayed due to the builders concertinas together. In no particular order:
hair cut, new microwave ordered, day out with DSis and BiL, windowledge painted, ditto door (2nd coat will be needed tomorrow), quick vacuum downstairs and in the bedroom, bit of allotmenting (mainly watering as nothing is moving), Mr M due imminently, wm x a few, HHI, out to pub dinner with friends later, meeting ex work colleague for lunch tomorrow, friends coming round Saturday evening. I am sure there is more, but I know for certain that no admin, dusting or bathroom cleaning has been harmed in the progress of this week. So far, of course, as I might get a sudden fit of the flyladies and clean the house. Tomorrow, maybe.6 -

Just lost a long post
In summary, I have
- hoovered and dusted all through
- had a successful meeting re a grant application for a church project
- received a grovelling apology in answer to the stern letter I sent to the bank regarding (non-)closure of my savings result and a catalogue of errors in what they thought my name was
- replaced the filters on both Dy$0ns (old and heavy "elephant on wheels" and newer stick thingy) after ??? months years, which has improved the suction significantly
- looked up train times for my solo day trip tomorrow
- still got some other desk work to do, so must crack on for an hour before bedtime.
Hope everyone has a relaxing weekend. Well done kazwookie. YL, please make sure you get some rest! Round, I hope you're OK and settling happily into your new role. Fayolle, I thought of you when 'focaccia' came up as an answer on Pointless this evening!

Morning all,
I actually managed the upstairs flying yesterday (half hearted dusting, cleaned the bathroom, ran the vacuum around the visible bits) and ran out of time to post. I had lunch out with a friend at a half way pub which was nice as it had been a year what with one thing and another. In the afternoon, the final door got a second coat of paint. Just the touching up of the walls to do after the new back door is fitted on Monday.
Vague plans today to visit the allotment shortly hopefully for more spinach / chard and rhubarb (pesto and jam respectively being turned out here as well), then I have a list of outdoor jobs to do in the back garden. Friends are coming this evening, then I will be officially socialised out.
Wm is on, as is the kettle if anyone fancies a 2nd ( or maybe 1st, it is Saturday after all) cuppa.6 -

Morning all xx
And breathe... I now have a week off to reset and recuperate. I'm enjoying both my new roles but I'm well ready for a week at home - I've been in zombie mode the last few days 😴
I'm up, made my bed, completed Strands with three hints, completed Wordle in five, completed Connections with no lives lost, eaten breakfast and I'm supping my second brew.
Saturdailies
Put fresh towels in bathroom
Shower
Wash hair
Moisturise legs and arms
Get dressed
Bring down laundry hamper
Sort washing into loads
Set first load swishing
Feed the birds
Put out the rubbish and recycling
Put new bin bags in bins

An ex colleague said she would pop round today. I'm not a fan of 'poppers' but at least I know that she plans to pop and I can now let poppers in, even if there is still a heavy cringe factor as I look at the work that still needs doing in the house. Popping is not encouraged. Anyone who knows me well knows this. Even DS and Ddil will appear unexpectedly and say 'we popped' ...but they're allowed to 😍 Special dispensation 🤣.
Have a good day.

I'm so sorry to hear about your mother's worsening health Valli. Thinking of you.Well done on the walking Kazwoookie.Wordle in 3, all four lines on Connections with a life or three lost, Strands was mostly with the aid of hints. Not the kind of food I eat in the UK much less America, so no idea what most of them were.Optician yesterday for two yearly check up and I already knew I needed new glasses but at this age there are things I need them to keep an eye on. (Nifty use of an appriopriate metaphor there.) Decisions made about the future after excellent advice from the optician, nothing urgent but a plan needs to be in place so I can stop wondering about things. This time I'd thought through the whole process prior to going and asked for new lenses but in the same frames which, fortunately, the dispensing optiician didn't fret about for too long, and we've worked out a plan for how to achieve that too. I have very little use of my left eye and my right eye needs a lot of correction for me to be able to drive and spend time on the computer so I need opticians who don't spend their working lives having to sell expensive frames which is what's happened in the past on the high street unfortunately. Long, long chats with the dispenser, who gave me the skinny on quite a bit of stuff I didn't know about the various business models. The whole affair took two and a half hours and wiped me out but it was time and effort very well spent. Thank goodness for independent businesses, some of which are quite outstanding.Had an earlyish start for us on a Saturday and I've restocked the freezer having defrosted it overnight, and moved a lot of stuff around so that Belovéd can do what he wants to do. I'm now having to have a bit of a rest because I shouldn't have done that heavy lifting on an empty stomach with low blood sugar.Better is good enough.6
