The pile of plastic pots that needed washing out has been finished, and some sweeping up of a winter's worth of cobwebs, fallen leaves and general muck has been tackled. It's a mess out there, but it wouldn't be as bad as it is if the gentleman that pressure washed and sealed the sundeck with its first coat hadn't put most of the big pots down there. I've created paths through it for myself to be able to work and the dog to get to where she wants to make a den. I probably won't be able to get to it tomorrow but Friday should see a big improvement.I won't be able to repot anything until much later in this process, unfortunately, because there really is very little space to work and there are things that need to be moved before I can put the planted up tomato pots in their proper place, against a south-facing wall.Better is good enough.6

managed to scrounge some rhubarb so it’s cooked for jam, with ginger and i will jam it tomorrow.
Bit of tidying done, flowers composted ans stuff binned and bin out.
Mum spent today in a&e. CT scan and x ray showed no breaks or anything so her being bent double is part of dementia. She’s not eating or drinking apparently so I’m assuming she won’t be around much longer. given she cannot engage, or talk or walk that would be the best outcome. What a bloody sad ending to a long life for a lady who was an intelligent, articulate professional who had a long and successful career, now reduced to a twisted and babbling shell. Delurking,
I’m so sorry Valli it’s a terrible disease ,sending you strength8 -
Gentle (((hugs))) to you, your mum and all your family, Valli. I wish I could find words to help you, but if I was with you face to face, actions would speak louder.
I’ve been awake since 5.15 , done Wordle in four, Connections in five, and Strands with only two hints.
The spare bed is almost clear of postcards and the archive album is full.
Today I have physio at 9.40, DH has to visit the podiatrist at 2.45, and we’re going out to walk Rosie and have lunch somewhere not too far away.
I have some froggy research to do before a meeting tomorrow so had best make a start now.
Take care of yourselves, everyone xxx6 -

Thanks for listening and caring.
Have made Rhubarb and Ginger Jam - my rhubarb is doing badly this year - probably because it was thoroughly decimated by the bunnies last year but I, being a cheeky !!!!!!, got talking to an allotment holder near work and admired the rhubarb in his barrow so he offered me some then suggested I take it all. I will be taking him a jar, I got his address.
So my jam shelf will soon be full of full jars, rather than empty ones!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
