Have they just been lazy and used the same advert, edited, for another similar car?0

You bought a car and then after you had paid for it they changed the price?
Or you told them you wanted a particular car but hadn't paid anything and after getting the order they updated the details?
As I understand it no retailer legally has to sell an item to someone at a wrong price. But common courtesy would suggest that they at least say "oops! just noticed an error on our website! Are you happy to proceed??"
I'd be finding another place to buy the car just because they have no manners. And that then, to me, goes beyond manners. What's to say they won't provide a pink car when you wanted a purple one? Or one that doesn't have the upgrade package you were looking for.
yes i paid for the website full amount no finance, nothing, as i assume i am getting the car as I paid for not sure why they have done this changing price and removing reserve despite not contacting, thats what i am wondering.5 -

1. Did you know the price was wrong?
2. What price have you paid?
3. What is the correct price?
Answers to all three would help...
So I can assume the answer to 1 was "Yes"...0 -

If you'd committed to the purchase and paid a deposit to reserve it, then they should certainly make contact to discuss next steps - when was the price corrected?
Can't imagine why they're edit their post to remove that bit of information....2 -

Just wondering if there is any grounds I stand on.
Rather than asking here. Surely you'd be ringing them. Silence speaks for itself. Probably guessed you aren't serious in purchasing the vehicle. Come Tuesday the money sent will be back from where it originated.2 -
The price was corrected 2 hours later when somebody in the office realised they'd just "sold" a car for 10% of the price it should have gone for. Your money hasn't been refunded yet and you haven't had an email from them yet because the refund and apology email will no doubt require approval or input from a more senior member of staff. I would expect that you won't get a response until after the bank holiday, but if you actually want to know what they're doing I would give them a call. They probably assume you won't be interested in buying at the correct price. I've had this same issue as a retailer on occasion and only once has a customer gone on to buy the item - in that case the error was less severe (item listed at £1400 instead of £2400). Not a single customer who bought something incorrectly priced at 10% has ever gone on to buy anything from us, and a notable few were pretty unpleasant about it i.e. threatening legal action, raised voices, insults etc. If they already know what to expect, anyone would prefer to hand that over to their boss or dedicated complaints department if that's an option.1
