My understanding is that this should happen automatically and a ccj over 6 years since the judgement date should not show

    Hi there

Over 6 years ago i got myself into a trust deed.  I paid it all off over the space of the 5 years.  In fact ,i paid it off 6 months early.   So 6 years on everything on my credit file was cleared from my credit file except my CCJ.  ( i dont even know why the company filed for a CCJ as they already agreed to the trust deed and THEN filed for it)  ANYWAY lol.  Today my CCJ has been removed and my credit score has gone up.  I have had a good score for a good few years now anyway BUT it went up to 922 .  I have been using a credit card for years now to pay for my weekly bills and shopping and then pay it off in full each week.  They have upped my credit over the years and i am now sitting at £8k.  I fly a lot so I was looking to take a credit card that gives me points and close down my current one i have - I used the checkers on American Express and also Virgin and both rejected me.  I have no debt - i have a mortgage - never missed any payments . no defaults on my record.   The question I have is, could it be too soon after this CCJ has been removed for me to try for things like this ?  Could it take a few weeks to show on other systems?

If you are paying off in full every week this may also be a factor, you need to pay off in full after you get the statement so it registers. By paying it off weekly it will not be showing to the credit ref agencies
