Stocks & Shares ISA

I was thinking about putting £50 or so a month into a stocks and shares ISA for a bit if fun. Just wondering if anyone could recommend a good one.
TIA

I can recommend AJ Bell for their service and low charges. As well as allowing you to invest in a range of other providers funds, they also have their own funds that have no dealing charges to buy them. This means that 100% of your savings goes to buy the fund. You then just pay 0.25% pa for them to hold the funds. Hopefully they funds will go up much more that this. There is a charge when you sell the funds.

This is a link to the webpage for the AJ Bell's own funds. As you are doing this "for a bit of fun", you should select that 'Adventerous' fund.

Just be aware that these funds have some volatility in them. Their value can go down as well as up. If you only invest for the short-term or decide to sell at a bad time, you might get back less than you have paid in. Sell at the right time, and you might get a very good return.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

For small amounts you could look at Trading212 and InvestEngine as they have no fees and they offer fractional shares so every penny will be invested.

It is not exactly what most people would call fun, because, in reality, until you get to over £8k, it doesn't really matter what you invest in.
I've got a few £k in a S&S ISA but would not call myself an "investor". It's probably common knowledge to others but why is the £8k threshold important?

Investing shouldn't be fun.  If you think it is fun, then either you are easily satisfied or you are doing it wrong.

i.e. you set up the ISA, set the £50 and don't need to look at it again for another 15 years.  It is not exactly what most people would call fun, because, in reality, until you get to over £8k, it doesn't really matter what you invest in.
The OP doesn't say anything about investing. Speculation can be fun.

Trading 212 are good, plenty of choice and no charges for trading or holding the investments.

Just imagine waking up to a news story about a major accounting scandal or similar, as happened with Wirecard. None of us can truly know what has been going on behind the scenes in a company in which we invest. I would not be able to sleep at night with over £800k tied up in any single company.
