Hello, i have a UC question. In order to qualify for help with health costs my take home pay must be under £935. On my UC statements there are two different areas saying Take Home Pay with different amounts. Which one is the take home pay please?

£1532.95 as your statement says0

Look on your pay slip.Credit card 1800
Overdraft 250
EF 501 -
The two figures are easily explained.
Your wage is £1532.95
They allow £673.00 before deductions start
Deduction £472.97
£1532.95 - £673.00= £859.95
The deduction from your UC is at 55p per pound, but because of the £673.00 it is only applied to the £859.95. Which works out at £472.97 deducted from your overall UC award.Proud to have dealt with our debtsStarting debt 2005 £65.7K.

Is that £935 for each person or couple?1

It's for the claim. So if you have a joint claim, it is for the couple.atlantis187 said:Is that £935 for each person or couple?0 -
You earn 1500 from self employment! Wow! And still get UC. I’m guessing you have kids (sorry to be nosy).Credit card 1800
Overdraft 250

Could you pay more in to a pension, if you’d paid in £600net this would have got your net income/take home down to below £935, so enable help with help costs and also would mean getting 25% tax top up to pension and also extra £330 in UC.1

We earn differently each month so its not always that high. Yes we have kids. But the goal is to earn enough to get UC off our back.itsthelittlethings said:You earn 1500 from self employment! Wow!
