It does take awhile before your local Job Centre contact will contact you about New Style ESA continuing to process ESA payments and to discuss New Style ESA claimant commitment.
The reason DWP are doing this is that they cannot just cancel any rights people might have to the contributions based ESA benefit. As a claimant of course you could decide that you prefer to have only UC and you can call ESA to ask to close the ESA claim.I was in the Support Group (LCWRA) with IR/CB ESA and in receipt of SDP etc which I assume will be protected with the transitioning payments.I wasn't aware anyone would be contacting me about the new style ESA.Either way you'd think I would of had some information about whether I should expect a payment next Tuesday (as would normally be due).

Have you checked your journal messages to see if they have arranged anything? The payments I'm unsure if New Style ESA contribution related has any gaps in fortnightly payments while they sort it out. But the income related amount will be erratic until it settles down most people state around 5-6 weeks.1

TimeLord1 said:Just a question when was your last payment of ESA prior to claiming or after claiming? @M25Thamks for the comments. I appled for UC on the 14th April and I got a full ESA payment the following day as normal. Then 2 weeks later (the run on period) I got 2 weeks full money minus 1 day's.I knew something was odd because when I applied for an advance (never took it just interested in the amount) it was about half what I'd normally get with CB/IR ESA. I assumed they had taken off the run on payment. That is when I contacted them on the Journal (very handy tool if they give good answers) and was told they didn't have all the paperwork yet and "However, it is only the Income related part of your ESA which is ending and the contribution based ESA will continue to be paid as a separate benefit."That was the same day I noticed "contributions" on my CT reissued bill and when I went back and re-read the goodbye ESA letter and of course it says "Your Income Related ESA is ending" ie it was really saying you get contributions based too.No problem with any of that it's just the fact I've had no communication about the new style ESA and have no idea if I'm getting paid anything on the 20th for new style ESA (exactly 2 weeks from the last payment).

New style esa should continue to be paid on your normal payment cycle uninterrupted.1

If your payment day is on a Tuesday for ESA contributions, you should get your next payment of £281.10 on Tuesday, 13th May. And previous payment dates were Tuesday 15th April, then Tuesday 29th April
And your first Universal Credit payment date should be around Monday, 12th May. 5 weeks since the claim started.
The support + Disability Income payment is now UC + LCWRA unsure if the bank holiday would have affected that estimated date.
So you applied for the loan on the 14th of April, and they offered two weeks' money, £323.50, but you didn't process it.1 -
New style esa is £140.55 a week so £281.10 a fortnight.
The deduction from UC is £609.05 (this looks more than you receive, but is correct because ESA is a weekly benefit and there are 4.3 weeks in a month).
A bank holiday won't delay the first payment date of UC.
If OP claimed UC 14th April then the first payment should be the 19th May, then 19th each month thereafter.2 -
I was advancing his initial claim date, Monday, 14th April, by 5 weeks. So the bank holiday hasn't delayed the process.
Interestingly, he mentions that they haven't received all the (paperwork) Surely the online Atlas system shouldn't require paperwork?
Oh, and the OP gets SDP also.1 -

Thanks for all the great information folks much obliged. The UC Advance Payment offer was £400.14. It's still there no change. My mention of paperwork was actually them saying "We are still waiting on your ESA details to be transferred over. ".I still find it very odd that the UC migration & IR ESA letters doesn't mention anything about new style ESA especially the UC letter as it says there will be a run on for 2 weeks.I'll post back on Tuesday when my CB ESA is due. My UC says they'll let me know 13th May what I'll be getting on the 20th May.
