OP have you contacted RM to ask if there are any internal scans that don't show up on the public tracking info? If there are that might at least indicate how far it got. I don't know if they'd look for it though, a few years ago you used to be able to ask them to but I don't know if any staff have the time to spare to do that any more.
It was a one-page letter to my sister and of £0 value except personal value in that I wanted her to receive it, read what I'd written and respond to questions about our late mother. You get proof of postage and a tracking number but after 3 weeks I phoned RM and was told it was 'lost' and to submit a claim to recover postage. I claimed online and have received an email saying they are sending me 8 x 1st class stamps as compensation. I said I still want to send the letter and was advised to send it 24/48 hr tracked as has been suggested on here.
They was totally wrong to advise the service to you correctly costing you unnecessary charges.

The saga goes on....RM website says it's been delivered but when I insert the recipient's postcode to view proof of delivery I get 'Access denied'0
