Have you received a Notice of Allocation and was there a date for the hearing?  On that NoA, there should be a date by which you should submit your Witness Statement and evidence.  Not sure what you mean by "file legal fees"; do you mean pay the hearing  fee?
Yes for the claimant to pay the hearing fee

If the fee deadline is next week, I suggest that you check with Manchester court before doing anything,  because you are likely to find that it's been discontinued with the N279 discontinuation document in your spam folder or inbox , perhaps check on Friday with the court

Manchester court is a graveyard for private parking companies,  especially if Judge Iyer is involved   ?

Is it a papers only hearing   ? They do tend to be non attendance hearings if he is involved,  via the pilot scheme

I doubt that they will risk it anyway

It’s DCB and G24. So I will have to submit evidence and they push to the final hours?
No. They'll discontinue next week unless this is a hearing 'on the papers'.

Does it say the parties 'must attend' or not?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hearing 20th Nov (evidence 14 days prior- will double check the letter)
I am working that day, don’t really want to tell my employer and also it’s a job where getting cover is not the easiest.
Did you put that date on your N180 as a day when you were not available to attend?
  • No I didn’t as my rota wasn’t published then.

They have emailed to offer it down from £300+ to £20

Frankly,  if its only £20 to settle I would probably take it, unless you want a hearing,  regardless that they may discontinue at any point

    Thanks

I have photographic evidence there was never any clear marked spaces or signage I am loathed to pay these leeches anything. I don’t trust them to honour it even if I did. But for ease of mind I agree it is such a small amount.

    Will mull it over.

  • Can someone explain what

“without prejudice save as to costs” means?

To add, this is a hearing that won’t be heard in the papers (so in person)

It means you can't show the letter to the court.

It's so a party can negotiate and however desperate they appear they can't be penalised for backtracking.
