IVA repayment

I hope you are right, but Ppi would relate to the original debt in most cases that was part of the iva and like any windfall in the iva period. I would like to know if anyone is successful in getting a refund paid to them. I certainly don't want to enter into any correspondence with debt movement 15 years after I made my last payment.

The Green v Wright judgement bears this out any Ppi refund even after the IVA closure must be paid into the IVA.i would advise caution in any dealings with Debt Movement.0

@goodarts your scepticism is understandable when dealing with any IVA firm, however @fatbelly has given the 2 relevant legal links which explain why (a recent court case) Debt Movement is having to sort these old problems out.
This is all totally legitimate. Here the links are again:

I've been wondering where the unclaimed surplus will go. A debt charity would be appropriate
If you search for Debt Movement surplus, this thread comes up so feel free to make suggestions and someone might see it.2 -
Thanks to Fatbelly and Many ways for clarifying I would feel more comfortable to hear that someone has been successful in getting a refund before engaging with Debt Movement. My scepticism comes from a nightmare iva experience with my iva that moved from one provider to another and each more useless than the last0

Quick update for anyone who's interested. First off, according to the letter they sent me they state in nice bold.lettering that I don't owe any more money and that this money is owed to me. Secondly, I have tried ringing several times at different times of the day and all I get is awful music so I emailed them a few days ago and, so far I still haven't had a reply.
If I do manage to get through to talk to someone I'll be asking if I'll owe anymore money from this and if they yes they can poke it. As far as I'm concerned my IVA finished 15 years ago and for them asking for more money takes the you-know-what.
Plus they've also said that if I don't reply to them within four months then I'll lose it.0 -
Thanks moodymonkey 74, that is exactly the right approach in dealing with this. I still doubt there's any money owing and I too do not want anyone knocking on the door 14 years after my iva finished.i havnt been able to engage with them either, I will keep the forum updated but my gut feel is this is something to be very wary of0

@gooddarts tried ringing again today and still no answer and no reply to my email either so I'm not holding up much hope. I've got 4 months to reply to them but going by how it's going so far I will have given up long before then.0

Thanks Moodymonkey74, no joy here either but will keep trying.cant help but think it' a ploy to extract more money from us.doubt there would be much to receive anyway a0

@gooddarts finally got an email from them today. Said they're experiencing a high volume of calls at the moment so it's near impossible to speak to anyone on the phone. She did say they'll ring me in due course.
