IVA repayment

in IVA & DRO
I finished paying off my IVA almost 15 years ago and today I received a letter from a company called Debt Movement who says that after they acquired the IVAs of Aperture Debt Solutions in September 2020 they've found that I'm owed money on my closed IVA. They have stated that I don't owe them any money and to give them a ring for further details. The letter looks legit but on their website it states that they do not issue cheques for claims that they send out. This is a bit concerning as I don't want to be handing over my bank details to a company I've never dealt with before.
Has anyone else here been contacted by them about this and what did you do?

I think I remember that this is legit

So there probably is some money due to you. It may not be a lot.1 -
What's their percentage for telling you about this?

I had an IVA with Debtfree Direct that ended in 2016, and Aperture took them over. I am now wondering if I am owed any money. I moved house in August 2020 so I could have received a letter and don't know. Is it worth me chasing this?!0

I refund is not yours0 -
Yes check the terms of your iva but in most cases these funds are due to the creditors not you. Think this is an attempt to reopen old ivas transferred to them by aperture and many other ex iva providers. Would be glad to be proved wrong though

That contradicts what I posted earlier- that this is money ordered by the courts to be returned to the insolvent, being surplus left over AFTER the creditors have been paid.
The window lasts until August 2025, i.e. 3 more months. After this, Debt Movement will go back to the court for a ruling on what to do with the unclaimed money.0
