Well done violetblue!
Just declaring October's OP of £244, bringing my year to date to £5,059. I was a bit disappointed thinking I hadn't managed any extra OPs this month, but when I checked to update this thread I saw the OPs I'd made at the beginning of the month and forgotten about! :j0 -
Will be able to smash through my OP target on Monday when I can get to the bank and pay in a £530 tax refund from Inland Revenue. So excited! Will post and update sig when it's doneCourgetteUpdating soon...0

Just to confirm, I have now paid £30,000 in a lump sum from my business into overpaying my mortgage.
Just over two years ago, took out my first mortgage of £176,000 on a £205,000 house, with a 30 year term.
I now have a mortgage of £129,000 on a 15 year term, with the repayment amount effectively the same.
So quite chuffed with myself - not least because this now gives much more breathing room in the event of future financial difficulties.0 -
Any room for a little'un? How do I get involved please?Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow0

Hi all,
Just made an op of £760.18, which puts my total £500 over my target.
The best thing is that we're now on target to finish our mortgage 9 years 4 months early.:j Of course, we'll try to increase that.
SoshThanks to all the lovely people on here I have managed to cut my hours down to 2 days a week, allowing me to spend more time with my gorgeous Children. :j0 -

You need to pm Bellsbells details of how much you'd like to pay off by the end of the year and then on a monthly basis let her know how much you've paid off during the month.
You can of course update with posts on here to introduce yourself and tell us about your aims with regard to your mortgage and generally aim to inspire the rest of us.0 -

I have emptied my pound coins and paid off £305 this month but that will be my last overpayment for at least five months. I have a small flat in London and a house in the North (my spiritual home but there are no jobs there in my line). I have just had a new boiler in London and today the boiler in my house has died a noisy death.............It's at least 25 years old so I know it will mean another boiler, add to that the washing machine door lock isn't working and the dishwasher's given up the ghost. I need to spend some money and sort out my life and I won't spend my savings so it means no overpaying for a while. Still I'll keep posting as without this thread it wouldn't have occurred to me to pay off my mortgage early. I will do a re-calculate for next year and see what is a possible pay off date, I won't make my target but with a bit of luck it won't be too far away.0

Hi Tootallulah, there's always something to sent to try us isn't there!!!
My TV gave up the ghost about 3 months ago and I had moved one of our others into the living room - but have now taken the plunge and ordered a new one as mine and my OH's xmas pressie (albeit a v expensive one!!) I am determined that even if I have to reduce my ISA payment I will try and put something in not sure whether it will happen but the intention is there!
Hope you get everything sorted soon, at least if you stay in touch with the thread you will still be motivated to continue next year (details of next years thread will be coming from Bellsbells next month btw) Just think how well you have done so far and how much of a difference even the smallest amount can make!! Keep your chin up anyway

Thanks Zav, ain't that the truth! I am definitely going to keep on posting and also keep up with Bells and the baby, she started the thread and it doesn't seem possible that her pregnancy is nearly over. I STILL haven't worked out how to post photographs to sell on Ebay and I'm sure that November must be a brilliant selling month, perhaps now is the time to try.0
