Virgin.net account

I was contacted in November last year that my virgin.net email address will be cancelled and deleted.
To this day the email address has not been cancelled and deleted, even though I've requested it several times via my communication with their cusotmer services.
I've been complaining to Virgin for nearly 6 months now. Each time I'm promised that the email address will be deleted.
Not only the email address is still live, Virgin is still keeping my personal details on file even though I haven't been their client for about 20 years. I have to provide my personal details each time I communicate with Virgin regarding my request and complaint, so I know for sure that my account has not been deleted as requested. Surely, this is breach of GDPR.
Can anybody advise me how to proceed to have the account with Virgin cancelled and deleted, alternatively where can I report their breach of GDPR?
Thank you in advance.

Virgin have been threatening to delete my @virgin.net account for about 10 years now too. Eventually it finally disappeared of its own accord about 3 months ago.
If you know it is still active is that because you keep logging on to check it? If so, this may be what is keeping it active?• The rich buy assets.
• The poor only have expenses.
• The middle class buy liabilities they think are assets.

I have no idea who has access to it and my emails.0 -
If you've had (and still have) a virgin.net email address that has been active for the last x years then you've been their customer for the last x years.
Just ignore it and it will go away.0 -
Virgin.net was transferred to TalkTalk in 2015. It's got nothing to do with Virgin now.Virgin.net was the BT internet side of Virgin, for those who wanted Virgin Internet but weren't in an NTL/Blueyonder/Telewest area so had to use the phone line.0
