    Thank you!
I will get the PDF signed and emailed over this evening and await for next steps.

I must admit, this “stick it to the scammers” is quite fun.

Again your help is much appreciated, talk soon!

    Hello there,

I hope it’s okay to bump my old thread. I never heard anything back from the court after supplying my defence, called court and they said it’s a parked case now.

Yesterday I received an email from DCBlegal regarding the court claim - very odd as I assumed it would be dealt with via the court but anyway, they are offering to settle the supposed debt out of court for £35 full and final settlement, the exact email is below if it’s better to read - should I ignore and continue with court action or what is the best approach?

    Thank you!

    Email here;

    “”Dear Puggles99,

Re: Our Client: National Parking Control Group Limited

    Claim Number:xxxxxxxx

WITHOUT PREJUDICE SAVE AS TO COSTS

We write to you in relation to the above matter.

To assist the Court in achieving its overriding objective, our Client may be prepared to settle this case. I can confirm our Client would be agreeable to £35.00 in full and final settlement of this Claim. The current outstanding balance is £286.28.

*DCBlegal bank details and jargon 7 days to pay*

Upon receipt of the settlement sum of £35.00 we will update the Court that the matter has been settled. If you are not agreeable, we will continue to follow the Court process as normal. “”

Its your choice to make, but judging by the nearly 700 discontinuations in the thread by Umkomaas,  DCB Legal are probably close to discontinuing the case, it's a last ditch attempt to extort some money

Do you think I should at least respond to them and let them know my new address? Along with a polite encouragement to continue as is?

Victims should always inform various companies and government departments about a change of address,  using GDPR

Write nothing at all about the case,  keep it simple, dont overthink it

So inform those needing the new address

Do not discuss the case unless a judge is present,  in court

Change of address should go to the DPO of the parking company and should advise them of your new address for service, require them to advise any and all of their agents and sub-contractors and also require them to ERASE your old data.  Use ERASE not delete as it has a specific meaning where data is concerned.

Are you saying you've moved in the middle of a live court case and not informed the court or the Claimant yet? I hope not.
