Upgrade

I am currently with o2, 18 month contract, which runs out end of april. Can i upgrade yet or do i have to wait until then? I phoned o2 to ask and they said i have to wait but i thought i remembered reading something about early upgrading???

Sorry if this is elsewhere, i did check but couldn't find anything. I thought there were companies who would buy out your contract?
I like my money right where I can see it - hanging in my closet.;)

    Patience is a virtue ;)

    Phones4U should buy you out - but only if you buy your new contract from them. They told me they will buy you out to a maximum of £100, so it will depend on what tariff you are on as to how much you have left to pay.
    Wondering how to have a life & not rack up more debts...

    :mad: Well, rang phones4u, and was told i could have the nokia n95 black 8g, for £35 month and £50 auto cashback, still on o2. I phoned today to check up and they said it had been declined. I was surprised as i have always been with o2 and never had a problem with them. I even ordered a phone, the viewty, before christmas for my son on the o2 website and it was accepted. I cancelled it though, as they could not deliver until middle of Jan.

    Anyway, the man i spoke to said they did not know why it had been rejected, but i should go to my local store and they could find out by phone. So that's what i did.

    I walked in and told the lady everthing and gave her the order number. She looked at me as though i was mad and basically told me there was nothing she could do. I think she was expecting me to just leave. I told her i had come all the way down here and was not leaving until this was sorted.

    She rang the online team and told me that it was not an upgrade at all, in fact they could not upgrade until month 17!! It was a new contract he had tried to take out...

    What is going on? He told me it was an upgrade and she said they couldn't do it. Who is right???
