Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers x
I have a houseful as DD had friends over yesterday and some have slept over. So various people in the lounge and dining room. I luckily still have the kitchen!
Food shopping later as today and hopefully carpet shopping for DD’s bedroom. I also want to potter in the garden as there’s a few areas to weed and some shrubs to tidy up. I went to a plant sale yesterday in an adjacent village and got 8 plants for £15. Definitely worth the trip. Dinner will be a chicken arrabiata oven bake.@snoozer - really inconsiderate of L&B not to tidy up. I too would be having words.@TravellingAbuela - lovely to have a short break to look forward to x
@IzzyBee - that’s a bargain! I got 4 knitting patterns for 10p each yesterday in a CS - just need some yarn and some time….!
Welcome to Thistle @AlwaysAllie x
Have a good day all

Gers said:@Wicked_Lady - there's an article in today's Sunday Times about a woman elected as the first female squire of The Morris Ring. Is that you????
Our booking at the golf club yesterday went down well and we've been asked back for September, so that's nice.
Later today I'm at a friend's house to play tunes and do a bit of dancing in the garden. The season starts in earnest this Thursday and DH will be up to dance up the dawn.
Hope this lovely weather continues and moves further north for those missing out.12 -
Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, hope your weather is better than it is here - wet and windy. Yesterday wasn't too bad, managed to plant out some veggies at the allotment, it was more a fine drizzle and quite murky.
No washing again today but I will change the bedding and wash it later this evening so it's ready to go out tomorrow. I've done a pile of ironing, all summer clothes that have been taken from their storage box, wooly jumpers and heavier dresses have been put away - hope I'm not too soon!
Lovely new camper Allie, hope you have many miles and super stays together.
I would be having a word with the family Snoozer, that's not on, they are taking advantage of your very generous nature.
Well done on the referral TA.
Great to hear of charity shop bargains!
I was sent a new Sky box for the internet a good few weeks ago and finally bit the bullet and put it in yesterday so of course nothing worked! Spent ages getting everything sorted out, had to leave Sonos until this morning as I was getting stressed and a bit tired!! Anyway everything apart from the apps on the TV are now working and my brain is fried.
Cleaning inside today as it's raining and will catch up with some TV (if it works, if not I'll use the laptop).
Hope everyone has a peaceful Sunday. Take care. XX11 -
Morning all...went out with friends yesterday for a pootle round a local town, found a shop selling the most amazing clothes but none of us could afford them! Well, two of us could but didn't want to and I didn't want to because they didn't have fat sizes. They did have some beautiful fabric though, some really lovely prints of the kind you can never find to actually buy. Like a garden in riotous colour...Anyway, back to earth with a thump to the actual garden. I think some compost spreading is on the cards and planting out and moving some of the army of plants I seem to have collected so far this year. I swear I could stock chelsea. Or at least a stall at chelsea...It's forecast to get to 20 here today so short sleeves at the ready!snoozer, must be a pain, between being annoyed at them being thoughtless and knowing that they will be going..mehefin, well done getting rid of poo but you should really make them fethc it themselves , well done in other areas too, still a toughie. Izzy, well done on your bargain! TA, well done for biting that bullet. Allie, so good you posted twice!
congrats on your new camper! Have fun moving and shifting. Gers, hope your back is healing fast...snoozer, I'd go for hard flooring every time now in areas where stuff would be spilled or dropped or whatever. Easier to clean up. And there are always rugs. Take care today all, enjoy the sun and temps if you have them!

Morning all, the sun is out although it's supposed to be cloudy but I'll take any amount of sunshine 😎. I have lots on my to do list today but I'm dithering as to what to tackle first ! I do have the carpet runner from the hall in the wm at the moment and I'm trying to persuade Mr Fix It to help me clean the windows outside as the brush is top heavy for me to use on the upstairs ones.
Tea today will be some lo easter lamb, I'll do it in gravy in the slow cooker and have it with roasties and veg later.
Snoozer I'd have stern words to say to L&B too !
AA lovely van, hope you have very many happy adventures with Thistle.
Scarlet how is DH getting on with his treatment ? I hope it's going ok and he's not too shattered.
WM has finished so I'd better get on and strike while the iron is hot as I feel workish today, wish it was how I felt all the time. Hugs to anyone in need and have a lovely Sunday.

Morning everyone
It's rainy and windy here. .hopefully it will will brighten up as I have washing to go out.
Thanks for all the good wishes for little one. she was fine yesterday and we had no alarms during Friday night - though she still woke me at 5 yesterday morning.
As part of her new plan she has to eat porridge for breakfast before her feeding pump is switched off, not her favourite food especially as she can't have any fruit or honey on it, but she understands why and ate it.
We had a nice pottering sort of day - she helped me empty my suitcase that had needed doing since Tuesday, then she played in the garden while I emptied the shed. My new summerhouse is getting built this week and my old shed will be taken down to DDs and rebuilt.
Right I'd better get a shift on as I'm going down to mam and dads this morning - I hope everyone has a good day today. x

Morning all, thanks @Gers for today's start. Yippee, the sun is back, the beginning of what promises to be a great week for fine weather. Apologies to those who live where it hasn't arrived yet, you must get fed up of the rest of us crowing about how nice it is.
Yesterday's walk made a nice change as I hadn't been out of the house for a few days; I took a bag of soft plastics and two spent batteries to the SM recycling and of course had a look at the YS section. Nothing there of interest to me but I did buy some strawberries (British ones, not imported) and crumpets, both of which were on a promotion price. Once home, I made a batch of wholemeal fruit scones and filled up the oven space with some stuffing balls that had been lurking in the freezer since Xmas as well as some part-baked mini baguettes. I made a start on sewing up the cardigan by setting in one sleeve (hate that job) and will do the other one today. Then I had a cursory look through the sideboard contents in the hope of doing a bit of pruning but found very little that's not needed; I think it just needs a bit of re-organising.
Other than the sewing, today's plan is to put on one wash load and make a list of what I'll need for May's grocery delivery later in the week. Tea tonight is roast beef slices (already cooked), baby potatoes, swede and carrots.
@TA - I'd agree with everything others have said about the cataract surgery, the difference it makes is truly amazing.
@Gers - How is the blocked ear doing? It's very frustrating and tiring when you can't hear properly.
@AA - Thistle is very swish, may you have many happy days in her (or is it a him?)
@mehefin - I'm not surprised you haven't posted for a while - you've been very busy. Good luck with the library plant sale.
@Suffolksue - Glad to hear your pre-op went well, fingers crossed the angiogram will be the same.
The WM has finished its cycle now so I'll get off and hang everything outside on the airer on my little patio so I can keep an eye on it while it's drying. I don't use the communal yard as I can't see it from my property and things tend to go walkabout sometimes. Healing thoughts and hugs for anyone who needs them, take care and enjoy the day. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.10 -
Morning all
Bright and beautiful day here which is so nice to see, one load about to finish in the wm and another to go in after, it can all be hung on the line today.
Spent some more time in the garden yesterday and it’s looking lovely we had a bbq and ate in the garden which was a treat so will go for the same tonight, I will do some little roasted new potatoes for tonight and maybe some more coleslaw.
I have my invoices to do later ready to send off tomorrow.
I have ordered a new solar fountain for my pond as the last one seems to have died over the winter I do like the sound of running water in the garden.
AA wow the new van is lovely xx
Have good days all and take care xx11
