Sky really don't care about existing customers!

After 4 months of back and forth between Openreach, Sky and myself my fibre install was finally completed last week (the entire "install" process across the external and internal work took less than an hour in the end!) and trying to upgrade to a faster speed is so painful. There are some decent offers for new customers but whenever you mention them to the advisors they just say it's not available to existing customers. I'm tempted to just leave and then rejoin immediately in my wife's name to take advantage of these offers (the advisor said I was able to do that), but it's a pain and there's the risk of loss of service.
Are all providers this disinterested in keeping existing customers?

Use a cashback site of your choice and it will take a few minutes, give you £50-200 cashback, usually a welcome voucher from the new supplier of £50-150 on top and it will save you money each month. The risk of loss of service is so low as to be pretty much zero.jmnathan said:After 4 months of back and forth between Openreach, Sky and myself my fibre install was finally completed last week (the entire "install" process across the external and internal work took less than an hour in the end!) and trying to upgrade to a faster speed is so painful. Look at it like this.
Would your upgrade have been any faster if you cancelled (possible fee) & then used Mrs as a new customer.
Odds on NO, as the hold up's are Openreach & connecting people. New or old customer makes no difference.Life in the slow lane0 -
Oh no, the 4 months waiting was completely down to OR messing around. It was the fact that even then sky just give rubbish renewal offers.born_again said:Look at it like this.
