Sky messing up broadband switch

As above.  Supposed to go live with them on my already existing FTTP Plusnet connection on 28 April.  Sky's router hasn't been dispatched and Open Reach have advised they wont activate any new connection fot me until 12 May (my Plusnet minimum term contract ends on 11 May). This has all in turn up ending end of contract billing.  Sky are covering the early termination fees but its going to be a slog trying to work it out given Skys current mishandling of everything.  Anyone else getting messed about?

If your PN minimum term expires 11 May ,  and Sky starts  12 May isn’t that ideal ? , why try to migrate on 28 April in the first place , that’s 2 weeks or so early ( although you do state Sky will compensate you for PN early termination charges ) TBH this is likely to only be around £10, if your hope was by effectively quitting 2 weeks early that you wouldn’t pay  an extra monthly bill from PN, which they later return most of that  as a refund, that was probably never going to work anyway, billing cycles or runs and minimum terms rarely line up , paying for days you are no longer a customer and getting them refunded is pretty much certain , even if you quit early .
How did Sky say they would compensate your ETC from PN  , companies that offer this normally need proof of the exact amount which is only known once the final invoice is sent , Sky would be already billing you by then

There is no Plusnet or Sky connection, only OpenReach. You do not need the router from Sky for FTTP you can access the connection direct from the OpenReach box on the wall.

Not totally sure what you think Sky have mishandled.

My installation was supposed to be 8th May now postponed to 11th June.

An openreach engineer's van was yesterday sat outside my home for 1 hour.

At first I thought he was going to install my broadband but no he kept wandering up the road to a box then back down sat in his van texting then back up the road then back to his van and more texting then he drove of without doing anything as far as I know.
