    My own experience of cordless car vacuums i.e. the hand held, rechargeable type, is that they are next to useless. They have very little suction power so will only pick some surface dust and nothing much heavier than that e.g. grit. If you cant run a power lead to your car to connect a mains vacuum I'd recommend using one at a garage every once in a while.
