Honda discrimination. So if I order a new HR-V I get a good choice of colours but if I order one on Motability I can only get black, grey or white!
On Motability we pay a lot, £2449 or more in advance and over £4000 a year for 3 years before handing the car back. Surely we should be treated better?

Its because those colours are cheaper. Its not discrimination in the slightest. I suspect a normal customer would pay more to have a different colour too.

If you want a different colour, pay the extra.

    Why?
Motability, as the UK biggest car buyer get a good/massive discount from manufactures.
So each car that is leased via Motability is not producing as much profit for the manufacture.

Cost the car up on a normal lease & see how much more you would pay to get a colour of your choice?

It's all about the price and resale value, it's business not discrimination.

If you don't like the choice available on Motability for that car, then simply don't order that car on Motability.

    Order it separately.
    Order something different.

You may well find that, while there are three non-"black, grey, white" colours available, they are not available ex-stock, but you would have to wait for them to be built and delivered from the factory in Japan.

We're not trying to be unpleasant but Motability is a commercial organisation where you can use the mobility component of DLA/PIP to get a car on a lease arrangement.

You are not forced to use them. You could quite legitimately take the benefit payment as cash into your bank account and enter into any arrangement you want with any provider

No. Motability is a registered charity. Motability Operations is a PLC, but all its profits are either re-invested or paid to the Motabiltiy charity.

Why have you titled this thread 'Honda discrimination' when it's clear that the discrimination (if any) is made by an entirely different company, as you recognise in the body of the thread when highlighting that you can buy any colour from Honda?
