If they've taken the money, what are the debt collectors for?F12 said:
No, it was cancel within 30 days to not pay the early termination fee. I spoke it through with them on the phone. They have confirmed I don't owe them any money. But yet they still took £200 and are still threatening me with debt collectorsTheSpectator said:Did you have to give 30 days notice to leave but didn't?

That's what I'm scared about. Given that they claim I don't owe them anything. I'm hoping that they have called off the debt collectors now, but I'm not sure.born_again said:
So how much are they after?F12 said:

Given they have taken £200 & you are being chased by debt collectors?
If the debt is only £200, then unless you have got it back, there is no debt to claim.
Do you also have any other Sky services?
No other Sky services, was just broadband0 -
They passed on my details to debt collectors first apparently, then took the money from my account. Their customer service phone line doesn't help to clarify what is happeningErgates said:

Debt collectors have no legal power to do anything.Tell them that the debt is in dispute and they must refer the case back to Sky. Do not engage with them in any other way - keep insisting that the debt is in dispute. And go to your bank to get your money back. Either direct debit guarantee, or chargeback on a card.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
Sky are a nightmare, they did something similar to be except that I got it sorted before it went to debt collectors. I cancelled within 30 days and they tried to take the full 24 months payments because I had not cancelled within 14 days.
I had to go onto the online chat and point them to their own terms and conditions before they conceded that I was in the right and dropped the debt. If you do this you should get a transcript of the chat so that you have it in writing0
