02 PAC from company in administration

I am hoping for some help everyone, the company I work for has sadly gone into administration, I really could do to keep my mobile number as I all of my customers know to they can find me on this as I've had it for years, O2 will not let me take the PAC code as they advise the contract expires in 2027, despite telling them the company is in admin and won't be around by the end of May let alone 2027! As they have multiple users on the account ( the account itself has an unpaid bill as they administrators work through it all ) )O2 have advised me I need to ay £525 to get the PAC code ( I have text O2 as well and this just tells me to call them), surely this can't be right or is their another way for me get it ?

Thanks in advance of any advice you can give me .

Kind Regards

£525 sounds reasonable to me.  This is a multi-year business contract.  It isn't regulated in the same way consumer contracts are.
Maybe you could try reaching out to O2 on social media.  Bad publicity often persuades companies to be more reasonable

It's a business phone number, paid for by a business (even one in administration). There's no reason why they should or would release the number to an individual even if they've carried that number around for years.

Those customers you've referred to as yours. Are they actually the customers of the business?

If that phone (is the phone yours or does that belong to the business?) is still working I'd get the contacts downloaded sharpish.

  • Thanks flaneurs_lobster, I have just in case I can't take the number 👍
