Advice with landlord trying to claim full deposit following end of tenancy.

I had a very similar situation top you. When we moved out, we deep cleaned the house and left nothing. All damage was repaired, and the only damage remaining was fair wear and tear, marks and minor scratches etc. We left no rubbish or items in the house at all. We had been living there for about 6 years, and in that time the LL had done zero decorations. We took a lot of photo's of the house once emptied and cleaned.
LL tried to claim the full deposit for things like yours has done. He also did not have a check in report or photo's of the house when we started renting it.
I disputed and refused to allow him to claim any of the deposit. I argued that the LL had zero evidence of the house condition prior to us moving in. I sent the photo's of the cleaned house to the DPS.
The DPS sided with me and refunded the full deposit as the LL didn't have a leg to stand on with his claim.
Your LL is trying to pull a fast one and claiming for betterment. The amounts they are claiming are mostly ludicrous in the extreme. It sounds like your LL also has zero evidence to back up their claims and I'd wager you will get almost the full amount back, minus rubbish removal costs.0
