    Thank you for responding!

I'll ignore the letter for now and try to calm the keeper.

I've just purchased the land details from the government website to try and identify the landowner so i can contact them and get this pcn cancelled.

Turns out, it's the council that owns this address (if my investigation is correct). Should I get in touch and try to plead my case with them?

Or is the best course of action to just wait for the LBC? Sorry I'm new to this world and trying really hard not to bother with redundant questions, I've read the newbies thread multiple times and I'm still uncertain what happens next.

Many thanks once again for your support!

UKCPM never work for councils so there must be a leaseholder in between who contracted with UKCPM.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • I contacted the council this morning and they were surprised that UKCPM has issued a PCN for land that they own as they have their own parking wardens who issue "official" council PCNs. They've confirmed that there's no leaseholder in between and no fines against my car's registration. In their own words "sounds like a bogus fine".

Should I use this information to contact UKCPM and argue my case with them to say they're basically trying to shake me down because they don't even own the land they've issued the PCN for?

that's a good bit of news, gives you plenty to clobber UKOCM with, and possibly cost them the ability to access the dvla  database to issue parking charge notices

    Whoa! This is MASSIVE.

Report them IMMEDIATELY to the DVLA and insist they are suspended from KADOE access just as DVLA used to do when they were less in the pockets of the parking industry.

See the DVLA emails in post 5 of the NEWBIES thread.
