100 point credit rating drop after new ee home brand and mobile phone upgrade

Options
1st time poster here, and I'm at a loss.

My credit score was 900+ somthing until I got my 2 teenage sons a long over due mobile phone upgrade a couple of months ago and trying to save a few quid switched broadband provider to ee as well.

Now its dropped from  907 to 818  and as it is 742 was as high as 925 12 months ago.

I was looking at consolidating some older debt and couldn't figure out why I couldn't see any offers at the lower end of the % scale until I checked my credit score.

EE have changed the way they bill you as well 1 account & direct debit for the mobile phone device and another for the line itself.

Maybe if I consolidated the 2 device accounts this might help?

Ignore the numbers. They mean nothing to lenders. They never see them. Just CRA made it up.

I "score" 999/999 in one place but don't have a perfect score elsewhere.

Each CRA is different and only YOU see the numbers.

What you do need to do is check information is recorded correctly.

I don't think it's anything to do with this imaginary number that you can't see any lower APR consolidation cards, it's just how things are right now

take a look at your credit reports and see if there's anything worrying there.  if there isn't, stop worrying.

There is no point in fretting over an imaginary 'score'.

I was looking at consolidating some older debt and couldn't figure out why I couldn't see any offers at the lower end of the % scale until I checked my credit score.

This will not be related to any number being 907, 818 or anything else.

The number presented to you by the CRA's as you 'score' is a marketing tool to sell you their products and those that they promote on behalf of others - nothing more.  It carries no weight and you can safely ignore it.
