My GP surgery has Anima NHS online booking service to make appointments etc. I have a online account for my self and have my son added on there as well who is 16. I want to view his medical records online but dont no how to do this. As I have downloaded the NHS app but this only allows me to see my medical records.
Could some one please guide me on what I need to do?
Thanks

Has your 16 year old child given permission for you to look at them? Not sure if you are aware but its 16, not 18.

You likely speak to the surgery then. Not sure how it works if they "don't have capacity".0

I think that you will have to speak to the GP / practice manager about getting access - normally for a 16 year old the parent would not be allowed access but clearly the circumstances are different here and they will need to take advice0

To access your child's medical records online, you'll likely need to utilize the NHS App, which allows for proxy access for managing health services on behalf of others. You'll need to have parental responsibility and potentially get consent from your child if they are 13 or older. The GP practice will need to set up the proxy access, allowing you to view a linked profile for your child in the NHS App.

As your son doesn't have capacity he can't agree to Power of Attorney.
You would need to apply via the Court of Protection to become his deputy, a process which isn't quick or inexpensive.
