Do you normally access it via a browser like Chrome or an app like Mail / Outlook?0

The OP states they "don't even get the option to enter a password", not that they are prompted that their password is incorrect or has been changed.
This could indicate that the account may not have been compromised, but their browser/computer has been - hence why people are asking about the browser/app typically used for access and whether there are any additional security/addons installed.
I'd probably refrain from entering sensitive information on the computer until the issue is confirmed, in case it has been compromised and especially not recovery information.
In the meantime, if OP is able to, I'd see if they are able to log in using the browser on a phone or something.
Know what you don't0 -
How are you using this site on the device you use for emails? So I guess it's not an Internet issue. Have you done a Save my passwords in one place?
Might be your own security.0 -
Pop down to your local library and try to long in to your accounts, using their public computers.
If you can, then you know for sure its some thing on your device stopping you logging in.
If you cant login that way, you will know for sure that its Microsoft that's stopping you logging in.
Then you really do have a problem.

I'm just wondering if you use a Skype account also.0

If after using the public library computer, it points to something on your computer stopping you logging in.
1. Do a full deep scan with your security software to make sure you have not picked up any malware.
2. Get a 2nd opinion with: https://www.malwarebytes.com/
If both show no malware infection
3. Try using a different browser
You normally use a Google type browser, download Firefox Browser and try logging into one of your accounts.
You normally use a Firefox browser, download the Brave Browser and try logging into one of your account
4. If you normally login to the accounts using your laptop, try logging in via your phone if you have one (and visa, versa).
5. Have you recently:
done any windows update?
added any browser extension?
up dated any programs or apps recently?
downloaded any programs or apps?
6. Do you use 2FA, if so what type?
