trading 212 free £40?

Further to the MSE newsletter of just over a month ago I opened a trading212 account and deposited £1, then was credited with £40 shares in H&M, which, as I remember, I immediately converted into cash.
The idea was, wait 30 days then withdraw the cash. It's been 31 days. I can't see any cash at all in the account, which keeps trying to take me through a confusing verification process that keeps failing when I input my national insurance number, Apparently this is invalid, an error message says that it's not a UK national national insurance number, I've been a resident of the UK all my life and have had the same number, which I've inputed correctly multiple times now, getting the same error message each time.
I can't even see my circa £41 anywhere in the trading212 webpage after logging in. Like, literally nowhere after clicking around everywhere. Anyone know what to do?

Have you checked your NI number against the information on HMRC about valid NI nos?
https://www.gov.uk/hmrc-internal-manuals/national-insurance-manual/nim39110
If it is valid against that document then I'd suggest going on live chat with Trading 212 to ask them to help and go from there. (It's possible that the validation they are using isn't quite right).0 -
My NI number is displayed at the top of every single goverment letter I've received this year, and every other year, and furthermore I've long had it memorised. I double checked by reading it from a goverment letter dated 24 March 2025 which is sitting next to me. I've just had another look.
I can't see that there's any option to go to live chat with trading 212.0 -

Hey thanks,
For anyone in an adjacent situation I did two things wrong:
- first logged in using my usual email account not my gmail account that had also been used because 212 probably preferred gmail
- did not notice the chat to us button buried in the site but it's there as pointed out above
Turns out I can;t' have the funds yet probably because it's a bank holday. It says 9am on the 19th but this is the Easter weekend.
Thanks all0
